Dear CSD Parents,
We’re thrilled to share that this week’s Family Coding Night at Los Amigos Elementary School was a huge success! We had an amazing turnout, and it was fantastic to see so many families come together to explore the world of coding and technology.
The evening featured a fun and interactive challenge where students and their families used their computer science skills, along with creativity and innovation, to design their own virtual pets using micro:bits. It was inspiring to see the different ideas come to life as families worked together to program their pets with unique behaviors and interactive features.
To make the night even more exciting, we held a raffle, and several lucky students walked away with their very own micro:bits to continue exploring and creating at home. We can’t wait to see the amazing projects that will come from these new tools!
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and participated in making this event such a success. A special thank you to Mrs. Muñoz, Mr. Alcala, and the Los Amigos Elementary School staff for their hard work in organizing and putting this event together. Their dedication and effort truly made the night a memorable experience for everyone.
It’s clear that our community is filled with talented and enthusiastic problem-solvers, and we are proud to be fostering a space where both students and families can learn and grow together.
We look forward to more events like this in the future and hope to see you all again soon! Have a great 3 day weekend! Sincerely, Michael Chaix, Ed.D. Superintendent Video recap of the Los Amigos Elementary School Coding Night.
