Dear Cucamonga SD Families,
I hope this message finds you and your family safe and well. It’s been a week full of events due to the strong winds, but we're relieved that they have calmed down and don't expect any immediate disruptions to school operations. The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority, and we will make any necessary adjustments as circumstances change. If any modifications to school schedules or procedures become necessary, we will inform you promptly.
I also want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible efforts of our staff this week. Despite the challenges posed by the inclement weather, our team went above and beyond to ensure they were here for our students. Some of our staff members were without power at home, and several had to adjust childcare arrangements on short notice. Their dedication and resilience have been truly inspiring, and I’m deeply grateful for their commitment to our students and the community.
As we continue to move forward, this is a time for us to come together as a community, supporting one another and those who have been affected by these events. Let’s focus on how we can help those in need during this challenging time. If you’re looking for ways to assist, several organizations are providing vital support to those affected by natural disasters. You can reach out to organizations such as the American Red Cross, and All Hands and Hearts, to offer your support through donations, volunteering, or other forms of assistance.
Thank you for your continued understanding and support. Together, we can make a positive difference for those in need.
Take care, Michael Chaix, Ed.D. Superintendent
