Dear Cucamonga School District Families,

We are thrilled to invite you to join us for a special celebration of RCMS’ B-Wing ceremony, marking the completion of our beautiful new middle school building. This state-of-the-art facility is a testament to our commitment to providing the very best for our students, and we couldn't be more excited to share it with our community!

The B-Wing is a state-of-the-art learning environment designed to foster creativity and critical thinking. Its advanced facilities and technology equip our students for future success. We are proud to offer our students an environment that promotes academic growth and fosters a sense of pride and belonging.

In addition to the new learning spaces, we are excited to announce the completion of our new parking lot on the west side of the school. This will provide convenient and safer parking spaces for our staff. Furthermore, we've installed a block wall along the side of the property to enhance privacy and ensure a more peaceful environment for our neighboring residents. We hope these improvements will help strengthen our relationships with the community and provide a positive, welcoming atmosphere for all.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Take Care,

Michael Chaix, Ed. D.

SCHOOL SPOTLIGHT

Los Amigos Elementary School
By Principal Amber Arreguin

Los Amigos is thrilled to spotlight our dynamic after-school intervention and enrichment programs, designed to support and inspire our elementary-aged students. These programs are offered in two sessions each school year, with each session running for eight weeks. Our diverse range of classes not only bolsters academic growth but also nurtures creativity, social connections, and personal development.

Intervention classes are tailored to enhance students' skills in math and language arts, providing targeted support to help students strengthen their understanding and build confidence in core subjects.

Our enrichment classes offer a broad spectrum of activities to engage students’ interests and passions. These include art, STEM/Lego building, gardening, and the beloved shelter buddies program, where students read and socialize with animals at the local shelter. For tech enthusiasts, we offer Sphero Bolt and Ozobots, providing hands-on experience with coding and robotics. Students interested in physical activity can join cooperative games, which introduces them to pickleball, 9-square, gaga ball, and badminton.

Cultural and creative expression is celebrated through ballet folklorico and theater, while cooking classes provide practical life skills and creativity in the kitchen. Esports offers a modern take on teamwork and strategic thinking, and Building Champions helps upper elementary boys develop trust, respect, and peer connections through interactive activities.

“Who’s Your Hero” is a special program designed for girls aged 9 to 14, funded by the Women on the Move Network. This program equips girls with tools, strategies, and experiences to build confidence, make healthy decisions, and explore new ideas in a supportive environment.

These intervention and enrichment programs play a crucial role in fostering a well-rounded education. By providing opportunities for academic support and diverse extracurricular activities, we aim to develop students’ skills, interests, and social connections. The benefits extend beyond the classroom, empowering our students with lifelong skills, confidence, and a sense of community.
